Sailei Zhang is currently a Principal Modeling Engineer for the Division Engineering Group at PCC Structurals. During the 8 years in this position, she has been mainly focused on extending the application of proven process modeling to reduce development costs and concurrently improve manufacturing productivity, provide plant support, and promote modeling accuracy and capabilities through internal and externally funded R&D projects. Previously she held the position of AOD metallurgist at Special Metals Corp for 6 months after graduation.

Sailei received her doctoral degree from the School of Materials Engineering at Purdue University. During this time her research focused on micro-segregation and macro-segregation phenomena in the investment casting process.
